I had six-pack abs when I was sixty. No more and no big deal.

You did E? Wow!. So you worked out regularly then? But that isn't how you earned your living. Your profession was far afield from that and your appearance was really unimportant in your work. But what would happen to those whose living depended upon their looks? Models or entertainers? I think it affects women more than men though men need to look good too. Some celebrities age gracefully. Some don't. Your profession depended upon your interior. Your brain. Your outlook. Your views. Your ability to relate  to those who looked to you for information and guidance. So your six-pack body wasn't essential to your success. Thank you for your reply! :)

It wasn't essential to my success, but it looked pretty damn good.
