What's life like in Avery County NC ?

My mom has a special friend who lives there she met her through Facebook she never met her in real life she told me about her she sounds like nice girl. She has never been to Avery County but we have beento Charlotte and been through NC. She's been trying to contact her for a while but she hasn't written back she created a new account she won't accept her friend request for some reason she keeps sending her them. She wants to know what is life like in Avery County NC ? What stores and jobs and stuff do they have there ?

    Why would your mom's "friend" create a new account, and not accept your mom's request?
