Criminal activity, including armed robbery, mugging and sexual assault, is a significant problem.". This "risk level" is no exaggeration: Belize has the world's third-highest murder rate at 44.7 per 100,000 of the population, according to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. This is about 25 times Canada's rate.

    I saw footage on the news of Belize.  I don't see a war zone atmosphere.  Just a very unpoliced wide-open, empty vacation spot.  It is rife with possibility of a fun adventure.  

    Hardly what people who are running for their lives escape from.  No, Belize is not responsible for the desperate escaping their cities, etc.  That is more terrorists raping and killing them and their children.  WORSE and MORE OBVIOUS than this terror trap.

  • Maybe people like the idea of taking their chances in a resort hotel instead of a "tent city" in some self proclaimed "sanctuary city" in the good ole USA. By the way, if this is such a "terror trap" then why in Hell are people breaking in by the thousands daily. But let us be optimistic, we'll soon catch up to the crime rates enjoyed by the banana republics and we'll be glad that we rolled out the red carpet at the border.
