There are a handful of truly remarkable yet unexpected things that have unfolded within the story that is my life. Undoubtedly, one of the most important plot developments, which is playing out currently, is my heart's having found what it so desperately sought for so long. It seems I've heard somewhere the quote..."Just when you least expect it, just what you least expect." This couldn't be truer than in the case of the one I call my love. When I was at my loneliest, he took my hand and said "Come, dance with me". When I felt vulnerable in the darkness, he wrapped himself around me and blinded me with his light. When I was cold from a heart that had nearly bled out, this man revived me with words that felt so warm. He told me tales of how every constellation in the sky was there to show us the way to one another. He reminded me that every hurt along the way was merely the thorns tearing flesh as we reached for the wildest most fragrant rose. He is a man with a sparkle of childhood in his eyes and I long to always be his friend, his love, his everything, whilst we play and laugh and lose our breath running headlong into forever. To have been someone and something so completely unexpected, I now smile at how he has become all I ever hope for at the setting of every evening and with the rise of every morning.
