Just about everybody where I work is engaged in a campaign of malicious compliance but the people who make the policy just aren't getting the message.
No. In fact I lost a job and a career on account of refusing to do so.
(FWIW, I think the question would be better phrased as "have you ever complied with malicious company policies?" :-))
That is one reason I work for myself today. Those games are a waste of resources.
Yes people who make policy do not get it and that is because there are only so many smart people in the world and it is impossible to put a smart person in every important position.
Yes it really is a waste of resources because the malicious compliance is costing them a lot of money but if they keep spending money on fixing stuff the workers won't get a raise so we just can't win but the policy I'm talking about is an unsafe safety policy but the safety department says it can't be unsafe because it's supposed to be about safety but then they wonder why the number of accidents are up. We still can't win because the lawyers say we have to have it.
