Well ... for that to work, there would have to be a federal registry of firearms purchases. Which is currently illegal.
But for purposes of the scenario ... I would still buy my firearm from wherever I could get the best deal. Probably NOT his chain, as I imagine there would be a "name brand" premium added to the cost.
If anybody wants my loyalty based on firearm ownership ... they will have to provide the firearm (and ammunition).

Yep. If anybody wants me to be loyal to a brand ... and have/use ONLY that brand ... they have to pay for it out of their own pocket. Otherwise, I'll buy whatever I feel like. Which is usually the best bargain at the time.
