How much of a threat to the United States of America is Russia and China working together? Does the trump have a clue what he's doing?

The biggest threat to the United States isn't Russia or China. The biggest threat comes from within its own government. Specifically, the radical liberal socialist communist left and from those who embrace the same. :) This post was edited by rusureamisure? at July 22, 2019 2:10 PM MDT

You really and truly believe this with all your heart and soul and might? I see. I am a PROGRESSIVE LIBERAL ru and you support a racist FASCIST. Never the twain will meet. Hopeless.

The only thing that I believe with all my heart is that God is real and He sent His Son to die for my sins. Could Russia and China become a real threat in the future? Perhaps but I'm not worried about it just yet. Too much life to live and I refuse to live it in constant fear. :)

China is basically focusing their military on defense, for the moment.
To be fair, in their eyes, the entire China Sea is their sphere of influence.  So expanding their military presence there IS defensive.
Anyway, the Chinese military is on par with ours, as far as technology.
When they place "rail guns" along the coastline, it will make our Naval presence in the region completely moot.
Not to mention their stealth technology.
And if they succeed in building a lunar base, they will have a permanent "high ground" - a great military accomplishment.
(perhaps this is why Trump wants us to return to the moon, and have a space force?)

Speaking of space ... India just sent a lunar rover up.  And France announced it will have an "Air and Space Force".

Russia?  No, Trump is NOT taking them seriously.  But neither did Obama nor GW Bush.
If we were, we would have sent NATO troops to help Georgia in 2008 and Ukraine in 2014.

As to Russia and China working together ... it is slowly happening.
They still have hundreds of years of distrust and resentment to get over, but have been making progress.

Thank you for very thoughtful informative and helpful analysis Walt. Was the United States of America a PRE-EMINENT DOMINANT SUPERIOR country or was it just standard conceit braggadocio? If so where why when and are we still that? If not will be ever be that again?

btw - I just heard this morning on NPR that Russia and China were engaged in cooperative "war games" ... and South Korea said they fired over 500 rounds of "warning shots" at a Russian warplane that violated their airspace.  Russia, of course, denies it violated SK airspace.

I know Russia and China both had troops in North Korea fighting UN forces in the 1950s.
I wasn't aware they maintained military relations to the point of "war games", but I guess it makes sense.
