What exactly is it that MODERATES moderate? The middle between wrong and right, love and hate? What's so great about being a fencesitter?

I my experience, the fence sitters are those who are liberal on social issues and conservative on fiscal issues. Or vise versa.

Or they just are not political and have never bothered to research their position as compared to each party/candidate. I know many in my family who were like this for years. It drove me crazy because knew most of there position but they seemed not to.

I think everyone should take the www.isidewith.com quiz and see who they really agree with. It does national and state races. I do not remember about local.

This is so weird m2c. I asked a question about political MODERATES which is purely political and what I got back had to do with internet social site mods. It blows my mind since that was the last thing I care about. As you know I don't give a rat's a** what happens to my questions or answers after I ask them. That is not my job . My job is to ask what I want when I want how I want and accept the fallout if there is any. I've known folks at Answerbag and here who leave because they get very upset about the selective nature and favoritism shown in the Moderation. I would not know about any of that since it doesn't reach me. SIGH.  Anyway I rarely fence sit. There are a couple of things that I see both sides of and so it's hard to come down on either side. Thank you for your reply. I move on. I don't look back. I don't harbor grudges. I don't care. This post was edited by RosieG at July 26, 2019 7:16 AM MDT

Fence-sitters are quite numerous. More than there should be. I've never been one nor have I ever been moderate especially in relation to politics. I am not into labels, but "Constitutional conservative" is a rather descriptive term for my beliefs.  In general, whether it is economics, monetary policy, national defense, or just human behavior – I find that the wisdom contained within the design of the Constitution pales in comparison to anything I can conceive or hope to find elsewhere in history. :)
