Does what goes on during your visits to internet social sites make or break your day? You do know it isn't REAL don't you?

People there have zero power over your real life. Zero control. Nothing they do or say..or don't do or  don't say..impacts your real life in any way at any time. So do you take it all to heart and get irate and furious and indignant and then seethe anyway in cyberspace? Do you get way happy or way sad because of it?

It really depends on the post.

"kids" flock to social media sites like moths to a flame.  However, it seems that most only know about sex, marijuana, liquor, themselves, and "bathroom humor".  these sites also attract perverts - depraved reprobates who get their kicks off being lewd, perverted and immoral.  They also attract "trolls" - human cockroaches who have nothing better to do than harass others and cause problems.
I try to ignore all posts from the above mentioned people.  I refuse to let them bring me down (that's their goal) so I ignore them.  As they say, "consider the source".  However, sometimes someone will post something that makes me think or touches my heart (in a good way).  I try to let these posts "make my day".

Touche Shuhak! Well said. You know by now I ask a bazillion questions. Why? To find out what people think about what I think. How else will I know unless I ask? Sometimes I receive replies that are so awesome it touches my heart AND provides me with information I didn't know AND causes me to reflect and think and feel. I become better for it or greater or kinder or nicer. It may just be short-term. But I will tell you one reply to a question I asked on Answerbag many years ago that stays with me to this day and warms my heart. The question was "WHAT IF GOD WERE GAY?". I received dozens of answers NOT ONE OF WHICH was negative or insulting. Here's the answer I treasure. "That would explain rainbows"! 4 words. Isn't it a perfect response? Also I was humbled by the number of responses and how respectful the responders were and how very thoughtful they were. I think it's the best question I ever asked and it's the gift that keeps on giving to me every time I refer to it. Thank you for your reply Shuhak! :)
