How much of President Obama do Joe Biden voters expect him to be? Can he come through for them?

It seems to me that if folks vote for Biden simply because President Obama picked him to be veep it might backfire.

Do such voters expect him to duplicate copycat mirror President Obama? What was good enough for President Obama for EIGHT YEARS should be good enough for Obama supporters? How does that work exactly?

  • Regardless of expectations, you would sincerely hope that people would get better than Obama. I don't believe Ole Joe would be as divisive as Obama, but the sad truth is that Biden is part of the problem, not the solution. He's part of the ineptness and incompetence that anyone who has spent forty years on Capitol Hill is famous for. The man is a professional politician. Don't expect anything closely related to a reasonable, working response to anything we're interested in. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at July 31, 2019 9:38 AM MDT

I pray that we get something even half as good as Obama.  WHO incidentally is responsible for the great economy AND all the other points that Trump has claimed he created.

YOU WISH YOU HAD SOMETHING AS GOOD AS OBAMA IS RIGHT NOW.

I wish I had someone ANYONE even a monkey at the zoo from hell would be a better leader than this sham of a human being.   If you cannot tell the DIFFERENCE between Obama and Trump?  Why are you even trying to write a sentence?

Biden is okay.  He is better than Trump.  Still the same feelings I had before the debates started.  He is safe and just okay.

If that carries the populace to vote him in then SO BE IT.  I don't think he is a mover and shaker like Elizabeth Warren, but he still will have a decent cabinet and decent advisors and YES, I think Obama would approve of all the people he selects for his cabinet.  The rest of the Senate and the Pigs therein?  He will have the same problem as Obama did to get any bill passed.  We need to get rid of that Senate and good luck with that one.

Elizabeth Warren or Bernie are gonna win the Democratic choice I think.  But if we get Biden, we get a moderate version of these two progressives. This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at August 1, 2019 2:16 AM MDT

As I believe I mentioned to your before Sharon I'm a Kamala Harris supporter. I have experience with her and voted for her in California on several occasions. She is very smart and very good at dishing out truth. She is a tough dame and I believe could make the chump cower. Whether or not she gets the job of representing Dems in the 2020 election I don't know. I think anyone who rides the coattails of someone else isn't the guy/gal for me. I want a DYNAMIC someone whose light is not a reflection of someone else's. Bernie is too strident for me and too angry. He comes across as an irascible old man whereas Kamala comes off as very cool calm precise focused. I cannot recall ever hearing her yell or raise her voice even. Maybe I will. Thank you for your reply! I'm gonna ask about coattails and reflected light. This post was edited by RosieG at August 1, 2019 2:20 AM MDT
