Money has no instrinsic value. Only what homo saps impute to it. The only thing lotsa money confers on one is POWER. Is that enough?

Money is simply a tool.  In and of itself it is neither evil or good.  In fact, no "thing" in this world is evil in and of itself.  its people who make it (use it for) evil.
People have deified money (the almighty dollar).   To most, money is the single most important thing in life.  It's more important than their health, their friends, their family ... their life.  They lust over it, and if they get it that lust can grow into greed (more, more, more).  All around us we see people putting more value on money than on a human life.  They will gladly kill another person just to get it (to take what that person has).  They'll  even betray others for it (family members, spouses, friends,strangers). 
A vast majority of people in the world are enslaved to money.  It completely controls/dictates their life.  Their only purpose in life is to obtain as much of it as tehy can.  Money equals power... and people love power.  Yet the only power money has is the power we give it.  A piece of paper or sliver of metal is just that - paper and metal.  

There are, however, a few people who see money as what it really is - a tool.  A tool to help others.  A tool to help one better themself (education and such).
