Omission commission. A lie of commission is worse or the same as a lie of omission? Lying or not telling the ENTIRE TRUTH? Same/not same?

You didn't do the crime but you know who did. Aren't you guilty of knowing about it and saying nothing? Doesn't that make you part of the crime?

    A lie is a lie is a lie.  The only purpose of a lie is to deceive.  Therefore, if not telling the entire truth is done so as to deceive, then it is the same as a lie.
