That idea is so blatantly nauseating I don't know where to begin.

Imagine BRAGGING about that kind of thing.

HI.  Let me introduce myself. I have a degree. I have an excellent reputation.  I have no moral core or center or even grasp of any value that my behavior rewards me with.  SO?  I am going to be the moral coward I know myself to be and get all my inner lust out by being attracted to what I am most afraid of.  I LOVE TED BUNDY.

    ????

That just makes ZERO sense to me.  People who are attracted to VILLIANS are STUPID and deserve the lesson they are going to learn.

Lonely women write to them in prison and some marry them. Go figger! Thank you for your reply Sharon.

Oh THAT.  That is the WORST.

THEN?  They can get conjugals.  They get rewarded for this.  They can marry TED BUNDY and have his kid.

    Ain't America great?

Generally, women are attracted to "bad boys" because they appear as strong (powerful, more able to protect).  Men, on the other hand, are attracted to (fleshly) "beauty".  However, to say that only one gender is attracted to the "bad" persona is a bit sexist.  A quick glance at the porn industry shows that men are indeed drawn to the "bad girl" persona.    The difference is men usually just fantasize about it while women go for it in reality.

Well, that is an interesting take, but bad boys do not care about you.  They care about looking in the mirror and looking COOL.  They are apt to steal rather than be a sap who works, they are pretenders and wife-beaters and jerks as a rule.

Did you ever hear the COPS theme song?  That's what a bad boy looks like to the SANE woman.

Men who protect you are NOT bad boys.  They are good men and fathers who care as a rule. Not scumbuckets who cannot keep it in their pants and cheat on their wives.

Dog, the Biounty Hunter is a GOOD BOY and Ted Bundy is a BAD ONE.   Anyone who cannot tell the difference?  They are gonna get OJ'd just like Nicole Simpson was.

You misunderstood.  I said bad boys appear to be strong, powerful and able to protect, not that they are.  Many times that macho persona is nothing more than  a pseudo image that they put up to mask their insecurity.
"Bad boys" only protect themselves and their image.  rarely do they care about anyone (or anything) other than themselves.  Yet, for some reason women are drawn to this faux display of "manliness" like a moth to a flame.  This only serves to amplify the inflated ego that many young males have.  This perpetuates the "tough guy" image through each successive generation.
