Iowa Republican Congressman STEVE KING questions whether humans would have survived without RAPE and INCEST. What brought that up?

He says rape and incest are no excuse for abortions. With all the pillaging and wars and rapes that have occurred through the centuries how do we know many of us aren't the result of a rape here or a rape there over the centuries way back when? He sez he can't be sure if he wasn't the product of a rape long ago through his ancestral lines.

What do YOU think of that?

His justification of RAPE and INCEST is that humanity might well have died out without it?
Do you think that is a brilliantly profound and awesomely admirable worthy GODLY view or wackadoodle doo?

Not "wackadoodle", certainly not Godly - I'd call him a bigoted, mysogyinist and extremely inhumane fascist.

I was wondering what led him to say it though.

His vote that there is NO EXCUSE he would support for a woman having an abortion. But m'dear I disagree with you on my use of the wackadoodle. I think a bigoted mysogynistic inhumane Fascist is a wackadoole. I see no daylight there. Thank you for your reply Durdle and Happy Thursday. We have tons of WACKADOODLES in gubment here the biggest one of whom is Donald John Trump. But you know that! :)

I do not understand a politican taking the stand of prolife with no exceptions not being able to explain it properly.
I understand having the position (I have this position)  but a politican should be able to defend it.

Reading it in context does help some. Talking about why no exceptions:

“What if we went back through all the family trees and just pulled those people out that were products of rape or incest? Would there be any population of the world left if we did that? Considering all the wars and all the rapes and pillages that’s taken place, and whatever happened to culture after society, I know that I can’t certify that I’m not a product of that. And I’d like to think every one of the lives of us are as precious as any other life.”

Just because a conception happened in bad circumstances doesn't mean the result isn't a person, argued King, who is Catholic.

"It's not the baby's fault for the sin of the father, or of the mother," he said.

He was not defending or condoning rape/incest, he was defending his policy of no exceptions for abortion.

You may well be right, but the physical and mental health of the woman, and her own wishes and indeed any religious convictions she may have, don't seem to matter a fig to people like him.

I am not prolife because of religous reasons.
I am prolife because I am anti-killing a human being for any other reason that defending life.

If there had never been incest, then we would have had no chance to recognise how awful it was that ugly, two headed humans should be scampering around all over the place on six legs (or legs and arms?), and being so hard to trap and kill. Human history has been one big learning experiment hasn't it, but we have still to learn that just because it is verboten to speak of it, that still doesn't pretend it away.

Well when a woman is raped its not a gentle act - sometimes she is punched, chocked and sometimes its done while her children are in the same room. Then after a horrible experience like that she finds out she is pregnant and  has no legal right to decide if she wants to give birth to a product of the rape is also horrible. As far as that guy saying humans may not of survived if not for rape - I think he's a horrible human being and he is no scientist. A need to rape could be a genetically determined character/flaw so maybe there would be less rape in the World if products of rape were aborted. Cheers and happy weekend!

That is a low IQ idiot that Trump is so fond of saying about people he doesn't understand who insult him.   Like not only is it evil, but it is an accepted evil that we NEED TO EMBRACE because?  WE HAVE ALREADY EMBRACED IT AS NORMAL.  That is his argument.  So, we already think it is normal and it worked in the past so why fix it?

    ?????

This is a LOW IQ MORON.  As I said.  The terror is when we realize that there are PEOPLE who AGREE WITH HIM and even if they don't?  THEY STILL WANT TO VOTE FOR HIM.
