That species does not make bubbles. It is missing the painter's signature.

Hi~ I don't mean to eavesdrop but I did. Sorry!
The whole collection of crystals or paintings?  Either or both would be awesome to see. :) :)

He's missing another fish to kiss!  When fish kiss they can't blow bubbles.  He's just very patient and waiting.  You'll draw her sooner or later.  I think he's hoping for sooner. :) :)

Depth. I think it's a really awesome painting. If it's yours, you have incredible talent. But, it looks to me like it's "flat." I don't know how that gets fixed though. You did all the blending of the colors beautifully, so it should feel like it pops from the canvas, but it doesn't. I think maybe it has more to do with the way our eyes work and perception. The shape is right, but if we were looking at a real fish, it wouldn't have those straight lines. I forgot what that's called. :/

It's the difference between drawing a wall/ corner that looks like an I (uppercase i) and one that has more of a V shape at the top and bottom. We don't see things straight on. We have to see the angles in order for it to look lifelike.

Thanks! I tried adding some depth and dimension with the shading. Maybe I could try more on the edges so that it has dimension against the background. I thought about taking a class just so I can learn how to do this stuff too. Honestly I'm really shocked the blending on this came out so nice. Its def the best blending job I've ever done.

  • I don't see the numbers that told you what colour to paint where.
    They seem to be missing.

    LOL!

A coral reef in the background plus a lot of smaller, less conspicuous but colorful other fish.

Nice touch! Maybe a Royal Gramma? Perhaps an Ocellaris Clown?  Better yet, the Clown Triggerfish!  The Rainbow Parrotfish is always a treat to look at as well.  :) ;)
