We have no standards. That's the problem. We justify ignorance and don't require knowledge. We make excuses for the ignorance of others. Shouldn't there be some basics prez candidates should know?

No wonder we get the dregs. We don't expect anything from them. They qualify according to the Constitution which doesn't require knowledge of what is going on in the world. I suppose you could be a blank sheet of paper with nothing to offer and you too could be prez.  Making excuses for ignorance and incompetence and justifying everything is why what we have from which to select is so mortifying. Let us carry on as we have. Justify/excuse/defend/support  the mediocre. Don't expect knowledge or expertise or excellence. Those are all much too PC  apparently. Why?

  • I don't have Clinton in mind when I propose a standard for integrity, honesty and character, but if the shoe fits....... I don't think there's any doubt about HRC having more knowledge than her opponent, she just likes to kept it under wraps, concealed from the rest of us as it might result in an indictment.
