Which is more logical? Reading all the books to find all the answers to all the questions that occur to you or asking others who know?

    There is zero logic to either quest.

    It is not any more valid to read the mind of a person or to ask the mind of a person.

    Who's mind are you delving into.  The point is to explore. THEN?  Use your OWN mind.

    When a person uses their own mind, the only thing you are guaranteed to get is their opinion---which does not necessarily add value to the discussion.

    And at worst, those opinions are misleading.

    But those opinions must be "respected."

    ---To what possible end?  (Did Trump sign a "snowflake" proliferation executive order?)

    I guess it would depend on how in depth you want the answer to be.
    A person could give you a quick summary, answering the question ... but a book would be better for a detailed answer.  Especially if it had to reference the work of multiple individuals.

    Here's the backstory. I asked a question. Someone answered and told me there were bazillions of books about that subject. I replied that I won't live long enough to read all the books that have all the answers I seek so I elect to take a shortcut to chat NOW with those who already know. You tell me which is more logical? Thank you for your reply Walt. Now when I am VERY INTERESTED in something I always research it. But you see the volumes of questions I ask because they occur to me. How could I possibly read all those books to find all those answers in my lifetime unlessl GOD were to grant me immortality? Even then my eyesight is already failing. So I do what I believe is the most efficient way to to get what I want. ASK and ye shall receive. Thank you for your reply. What would you do? What do you do?
