You can get used to it pretty quick. It wouldn't be dropping people to their knees.
I've been trapping them for years and their spray is awful but I can deal with it.
Our central air conditioner was sprayed by a skunk. Thankfully, my wife was off in another state visiting relatives. Personally, I can tolerate a good bit of skunk smell. The smell went away after a couple of days.
You can? Oh my gosh. Well we had an experience with skunk spray years ago. Our cat was in the patio and I guess he inadvertently startled the skunk who was strolling through and our cat got sprayed as did the screen. It took forever and a day to get rid of the stench. We could not stand it. Thank you for your reply RR. I'd take my hat off to you if I were wearing one! :)
