Exactly my point. Here in the U.S. she has had very few hits almost on the level of a one hit wonder. Americans fail to see what an accomplished career she has had world wide. We are very myopic in this nation. We are self obsessed and don't often appreciate many forms of artistry from other cultures. Like movies for instance. I'd rather see an artsy foreign film any day than a watered down corporate Hollywood flick. Anyhow, I stand by my lighthearted response, and I'll avoid getting preachy. I was just caught off guard by your "Oh Please" response. I simply thought this thread had room for fun.
