Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» WHAT if at birth we were all given a certain number of lies we could tell and still live? Exceed and die. At what age would "he:" have died?
"Honey, do these jeans make me look fat?" {Guy pauses to wonder whether it's worth using one of his limited lies, or not.} "Why are you having to think about it? Oh My God! You think I'm fat, don't you!"
I think a lie such as you use as an example is a loving kind lie meant to avoid hurting the feelings of someone you love. How does such a lie harm anyone? If I were the boss of it I'd give you extra credit for it. Telling lies to save your own a** or harm others? That's what I'm talking about! Thank you for your reply Walt.
Okay ... if we're going by intentionally harming others ... how about a limited number of times regardless of whether it's a lie OR the truth? I'd favor that. I mean, you know those type of people would just start using truth to hurt people if only their lies were limited.
Hi Rosie~ For that reason, I do everything in my power NOT to hear anything 'he' says. I would like to find the doctor who spanked his bottom to breathe when he came out of his mother. That is where the problem began. The minute he took a breath. My guess is within that one gulp of air, he used all his allotted lies. Right Then! That very instant the doc should have shoved him back up and ran out the door.
