We had other Muslims, one other teacher and a few students. Good point, some folks use other's religion or country to categorize their race. "He's an Arab." Another question to ask. You can have it if you wish.
How does he know where those kids were born? Does he know that any of them were not born in Africa? Does he know who is even LEGAL to be here? NO. He doesn't. Unless he is a NARC for the government.

I am betting if there was another person student/staff etc the school they would have let him know he was not the only one from Africa. Not sure what it has to do with legally here.
I figure he was assuming all the people were Americans. So leaves are they from Africa. And if they were not American then they certainly were not African Americans in the sense he was using the term.
