Hmmmm ... I guess there may be specialists and generalists. Though if someone only knows one computer language, they would have to worry about becoming obsolete when that language is no longer used. EG: Every browser I know of will no longer support FLASH as of December 2020. So any programmer that only knows how to program in FLASH will be out of a job, at that time.
But now you have me wondering if computer languages are only English. I mean, HTML and SQL I know I've seen in English language ... but can they also be programmed with Chinese or Russia or Arab or whatever? Or do those programmers have to know English? If those computer languages can be programmed in other languages, did the "base" programmers (who designed the language) have to know other languages? Or is there some translation software that is being used?
I can't answer those nifty questions Walt but maybe other Answermuggers can! Why not put it all out there in the general question section? Fly them up the flagpole! See who salutes? Thank you for your reply! :)
