Why do we never argue about

Honoring your father and mother

Committing adultery

Stealing

Lying

Coveting

Parts of the Bible have been through several translations since their origin. Exact words may or may not exist that match the intent communicated at the time. I suggest you read the Book of Exodus, which contains the Ten Commandments starting at Exodus 20:1. Shortly theareafter, the same Book of Exodus prescribes the death penalty for an offenses as light as breaking the sabbath or cursing one's mother and father.

Exodus clearly states there is killing that is justified and killing that is not justified; there is some kind of difference.
