Interesting question. I often think I would have been happier in a time when more of the population was in agriculture and lived closer to the land. Then again, people didn't live as long in those days and didn't have microwave ovens, for example. I think I'll try it by spending sometime in the country in this day and age when I can bring my microwave with me and I won't get the plague. Check your email.
I just responded to your email my friend. Thank you again for sharing your adventures with us. Very kind of you indeed. As for me? I preferred the days when people were polite and had good manners. When children were taught to respect their elders automatically and adults were taught to be respectful of the office and the person who held that position. During the prez campaign when Obama ran in 2008 you should have seen the ugliness displayed by the racists! On posters no less. The saddest thing was that these monstrously ugly and hateful people brought their children with them who also carried disgusting placards. It has gone downhill since then. Civil rights were fought for and in 1964 LBJ got the Civil Rights Act legislation passed. The Supreme Court gutted the heart of it several years ago saying there was no longer a need for it since voting was no longer a problem which is a huge lie. The Supremes also allowed the Citizen's United legislation horror to pass which now makes elections purchasable by Super PACS by

the highest bidder. Throw out the rules. Dam* the obstacles/rules/laws/regulations/checks and balances. Full speed ahead. Not to a good place. Sorry for the downer. I'm sure you don't need that. Thank you for your reply and Happy Monday CMI. :)
Times were better 50 years ago, Rosie. I had a better life then.
in past lives i have lived in many different times
each time seems to get better.
50 years ago I was 28 NP. When I was a kid I thought life was good. As a young adult it was still good. But in later years something has drastically changed in our society that elevates hatred, celebrates racism/bigotry and worships at the altar of ugly/despicable. I think it didn't happen overnight but Donald J. Trump and his prez candidacy has
highlighted it and focused on it and helped it to come out of the closet, out of shadows and call attention to itself. Very sad turn of events! Thank you for your reply and Happy Thursday to thee! :)
