"THREE SOLDIERS DEAD THREE INJURED DURING TRAINING ACCIDENT AT FORT STEWART, GEORGIA''. SAY WHAT?

Six soldiers were riding in a BRADLEY FIGHTER ARMORED VEHICLE when it rolled over into the water.

Wait a minute. It ROLLED OVER? What kind of stablizer does it have that it would "roll over"?

Do other such armored vehicles have the same DEFECT? Three lives lost, 3 troops injured in a TRAINING accident.

Accidents happen. I know. But training exercises for our military should not be DEADLY. The equipment should not kill them. Something's fishy.

Tanks can and do roll over. This is one reason we have to train our soldiers how to use them.

It's quite common for death and permanent injury to happen during military training exercises.
They DO train with things like rubber knives and non-lethal ammo ... but at some point, you have to train with the actual equipment.
I know one guy who has a permanent back injury that renders it almost impossible for him to work a steady job ... because he slipped and fell off the back of a tank.  It wasn't even moving at the time.

Here's a couple of times tanks rolled over:

It's bad enough when your child dies on a foreign battlefield defending a principle or other human beings or an ideal Walt but to die in a TRAINING ACCIDENT at home? I cannot even almost imagine the horror of that. As usual thank you for the info and the links. Training accidents happen but really isn't that the ultimate evil in war? To die for no reason other than a human error or equipment failure because you are serving your country? SIGH.

I don't know for sure ... but hopefully there is an inquiry EVERY time, so training can be as safe as possible.

It's kinda like when your kid fights in wars and survives and comes home and then is killed by a drunk driver! No sense to that at all. Life is not sensible for sure. What it is I have no idea. Russian Roulette...the luck of the draw..dumb luck..Kismet? Thank you for your reply Walt! :)
