Ya know what makes NO SENSE? Those who vote in every presidential election but NEVER vote in primaries/mid-terms/local elections. RIGHT?

So you got a Dem president but your entire state at every level is run by Republicans. How in the he** do you suppose that happens? You are the problem for not showing up in every election and voting. Republican governors have a stranglehood on the state and you give them subordinates who are in the same party and the state doesn't have a chance. It's toast. Done. Roasted.

How can people not understand that? Why bother voting for president if you can't be bothered voting for the folks that affect your daily lives? Opt out altogether but just don't complain about what you wrought. Complaints are the right of those who participate. Those who don't? Seriously? If you're too lazy to vote or  too uninterested then quitcherbit**in and silence yourself futurely. No one cares what you think if you don't care enough yourself to even vote. Sheesh.

Trump was a Democrat and changed parties so he could run for president.  Then, again, Bloomberg was a Republican, changed to Democrat and then went to Independent before going back to Democrat which is the banner under which he will run, if he chooses, for president. As I was just explaining to Rosie on another question if I lived in NY or CA etc I would be registered as a Dem. In order to vote for the most moderate Dem in the primaries. As a GOP has no chance there.

No matter what he was in the past...President Trump's policies are conservative.  So he is certainly in the correct party. I did not know IF I believed him when he was running because of his past as a Dem. But I did believe Hillary and did not want that.

Exactly, m2c. Many folks here, especially within four of NYC's five boroughs (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, but Staten Island has a strong Republican contingent) are registered as Democrats regardless of political beliefs/ideology. The elections for many local races are decided in the Democratic primaries.

Actually, I believe Bloomberg was a Democrat who switched to the GOP to run for mayor. It was a very smart move since he faced less competition for the nomination than he would have as a Dem.
