Nikki Haley is ratting out Rex Tillerson and John Kelly. She sez they tried to get her to undermine the prez. Whatta great gal! I wonder if she told the president that at the time and why she didn't make that PUBLIC instead of waiting to write a book and let us know what a splendid mouth supporter she was is will be wants to be foreverly? Who is gonna buy that rot she wrote? The bottom line.. she is the heroine. See now you don't have to read the dam* thing and you saved big bucks ta boot. You're welcome. Sheesh! :(

    Not just politicians.

    I've read a few autobiographies, and the only one where the person admitted they were in the wrong - was written by a German soldier, who had been in the SS "Special Operations Group" (or whatever they called it) on the Eastern Front fighting "resistance groups".
    He escaped the fall of Germany, joined the French Foreign Legion, and fought in VietNam - before the French pulled out of that mess, and the Americans moved in.

    One point in his book I found interesting, was that any SS soldier could request reassignment from guarding the prison camps to the front lines, and the request had to be granted.  So every SS guard at those camps was doing so voluntarily.  Which destroys the "just following orders" defense, completely.

    WOW WALT! That is HUGE! So kinda like a Conscientious Objector could serve at a desk job or cooking or whatevering and never have to hold a weapon the SS guards were there VOLUNTARILY! Geez Louise puhleez! They VOLUNTEERED for it? I find that shockingly unbelievable but then I can't believe a lot of stuff that people do. My bad. Thank you for your thoughtful and informative reply. Just once I want someone to say "I was a total rat a bum a fink a hoor". I know. Like that will ever happen? :)
