You do not think with your heart and your emotion. If that is how you "decide" on you will lose every time.

Emotion is no match for logic and common sense and reason if the goal is to achieve something that makes sense is fair is legal. If the goal is just to win no matter what then by all means go with your passion and forget reason. If emotion is all you ever use to fuel you you are a fool.

Reason versus passion. Logic versus emotion. Brain versus reaction viscerally. May the best presenter win.

    It's a winning strategy every election cycle.
    In fact, it's a winning strategy for every debate in general.
    About the only time reason/logic is a winning strategy, is when it doesn't really matter.  Things like debate clubs.

    But anytime you have to convince people to actually DO something - passion/emotion is going to win over reason/logic the vast majority of the time.

    You are totally right.  Passion takes people where logic does not.  OF COURSE.  Mountains are moved. And Moutains are also destroyed by mobs filled with nothing BUT passion.  But you are right.  That is what it will take for Dems to win this one.  And the GOP has the big steak in this dogfight as well.  This is bloody.  Already. And the worst is yet to come.  Russia is licking its chops and so is Kim.  This is the end of times if he gets in again.  Hang on.

    Even if it is nonsense illogical untrue and harmful? With the masses who react to dog whistles maybe and salivate on cue. But to others who are guided by reason and logic and intellgence and common sense I find that very hard to believe Walt. I am not saying it is untrue. I AM saying that I don't believe it with regard to the people I know. I do not hang out with stupid dumbs so if the vast majority of homo saps are brainless brain dead overly emotional homo saps then of course you are correct. And that's that!     Exactamundo. What you are you assume everyone is. The braindead sapsuckers who  kiss his corpulent butt don't know any better. If they ever are given the gift of self-realization it will kill them. The hideousness of what they've done and said and the piece of evil sh** they've embraced and supported will stupify them and then dissolve them. Or not. I dunno what's gonna become of THEM.
