    Having ran for the presidency.  He knew he didn't want the job, just the publicity (to feed his vanity).  Things went steadily downhill from there.

    It certainly was the key that unlocked Pandora's Box and released all the ills of the world. Without his having done that none of this misery would have existed. A bow to you m'dear.
