  • Makes sense. The "founding fathers" had to run their plantations from there. They were landowners, the original 1%, and capitalists.

    Hello my:

    HAVING a conflict of interest isn't against the law.  ACTING on it might be.  I'm NOT saying that this situation is good or bad.  It's just interesting that it's NEVER come up before.. 

    Most politicians own stock and other liquid assets.  It's EASY to put those into a blind trust because those stocks will be bought and sold during his term WITHOUT his knowledge..  But, Trumps assets are buildings in countries, some of which are our friends, and some are our adversaries...  There's NO way that the economic health of those property's can be kept from him.   I'm not saying he'd ACT on them, but that's EXACTLY what a conflict of interest is.

    Hmmm...I didn't realize that NE , Pennsylvania and New York had plantations ?  That must be in the "new" history books .
