Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» Some things I grasp immediately. Some things take awhile and I have to be led by the hand. Some things I never get. Same for you too?
Even computers of the highest magnitude of ability will never get everything. So, I have to say, this is just obvious. Isn't it? Isn't it true for us all?
I might divide it further. I might say (since I have the room and you did not on that question) some things take a while, and some things I have to be led by the hand. So, besides that, I think it holds true for A genius like Einstein or a MORON like Trump. Everybody in-between as well.
Thank you for your reply. Your OBVIOUS is not necessarily true for everyone Sharon. Please remember everyone isn't wired like you are. Something may be OBVIOUS to me but not to you. That's how it goes. Some people know everything like the butt crusher dementia don. Or a stephen miller. They are perfectly brilliant in their own eyes and thus never question themselves. Also all the devoted adoring worshippers think the butt crusher dementia don is brilliant a genius wise and knows everything. To them it is not obvious. So I think I beat that horse to death. FYI your "who cares" is comparable to "isn't that obvious". Not helpful..

Yep. For the life of me I cannot grasp algebra. To my mind it makes no sense. For a time, I was the bookkeeper for a large store. The boss figure because I was smart at everything else, I'd be perfect for the job. Despite lots of training and a giant book of notes, it took me awhile before I finally "caught on". (I swear, for the first month I was on the phone to bookkeepers in other stores nearly every day of the week asking questions.
I think you know I'm a retired Internal Auditor and so we have that in common....trying to make sense of numbers. I started out as a secretary and segued into bookkeeping and then working with CPA's who came in yearly to check my work and perform yearly audits so I learned enough from them to become an internal auditor for a company. I, like you, was not outstanding when it came to Algebra. Of course over time through the years I discovered that my real passion is in quantum physics for which I have no background no education no experience and am not smart enouogh. Just an abiding fascination with science fiction which was born in physics I think. Next time around I'd like to be a genius please and be a quantum physicist. Can you imagine working with people like Stephen Hawing? I get goosebumps just thinking about it Shuhak. I also love to cook but I don't think being involved in the food industry in any way would capture me sufficiently. I cook what I AM HUNGRY FOR so I wouldn't do well trying to please others. Do you have a passion for something that you think you would have LOVED to do professionally? Thank you for your thoughtful reply. The beauty of the internet is that we travel everywhere we would never go in real life and meet people we would never meet otherwise! I salute it! I just giggled. :)
How about a quantum physicist who deals with "star stuff"? I wonder in what area of science we know the least? I'm gonna ask. Thank you for your reply Shuhak.
Not really, I'm pretty clued up on what's on other people's minds and what their aims or wants are from others around them in life..... Its not what they say as clever people are well schooled in deception , I watch them while don't notice me and it's their natural body language and demeanour that gives them away almost instantly....
Facial expressions ,the way people stand and even where they choose to stand in a room , my mum schooled my dad in many ways and she also passed it on to al of us kids....Kids though ,being more a sponge when young absorb things with out the need to think.... I now do it out of habit ,it takes only a few moments to suss out what people are really like in person when I'm standing near them...
What happens when you deal with folks like me that you will never see in person? How do assess them and determine whom they are whom you can trust whom you can depend upon? Thank you for your reply D and Happy Thursday to thee! :)
By the questions you ask and the answers you give Rosie...you have never changed in the ten years plus we have know each other...Your views ,comment answers are almost identical and you will never ever change ,mNo one can keep up a facarde for that amount if time if they are liars ,cheaters or biggest.. A lo can't change its spots and neither can you.....
I do think you should inject some humour or show of your knowledge of science and the enviroment a bit more though.... There is a donwn side to asking to many things about the orange man..lol What will you do when she gets the Tin Tack in your next elections.. :(
I never edit the questions I ask D. I never ever have to take time to figure out what to ask. My brain is constantly flooded with questions and to save myself from going crazy I ask them and then they are gone and I do not have to deal with them.
If you think I am joking I am not. I would love to have an empty brain and have to strain myself to think of things to ask. I don't. I am held captive by something or someone that does not let me rest. I take no credit for it. It is not of my doing. So I cannot adjust to any suggestions and believe many have suggested what you have suggested over the years. I am driven to ask what I ask. That's the bottom line. Sorry to disappoint. Thank you for your reply.
I know it's a passion of yours Rosie....that's impossible to hide...lol We all fuse on some things and I do on the enviroment ,human plasticky waste, the slaughter of all whales ,dolphins and over fishing of our oceans....pointless wars and so many other things to
But I also like to make people laugh and cheer them up.....there are two side to every coin and both side s need their day in the sun I think Just saying ...xxx
