Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» Christianity could not have existed if Jesus had been ignored/ridiculed/reviled by all. True? What would today's Christians have worshipped?
Christianity didn't exist for about 300 years after Jesus' death. Until that time, it was basically a very minor sect of Judaism following an "off the wall" rabbi/teacher.
So, they would likely worship as Jews or Pagans, given where the majority of Christian ancestors come from.
That's funny odd (not haha) as you describe it Walt. "off the wall" rabbi/teacher. I never thought about it that way. I've read that Christians had to meet in secret. It had to be kept underground. Isn't that when "the sign of the fish" was born? Like a secret handshake for an organization? Being a Christian could cost you your life. Today not being one could. Funny. Thank you for your reply! :)
