Some of those "golden parachutes" CEO's get are worth a bajillion dollars at least. No one is worth that kind of money but they demand and get it. They humongous salaries bonuses stock options. Who determines value? Whatever the market will bear. Thank you for your reply Shuhak.
Worse, some get those parachutes after only working at the company for 6 months. I've worked at companies longer than that, and I got zilch! When I took business management classes in college the first thing they taught us was if you can get a golden parachute, take it.
SIGH. I know that those folks make sure up front that they will be well taken care of and for whatever reason the employer thinks they are worth it! That's a level of life I cannot imagine ever experiencing. For me it was always the job/work that excited me. Having benefits like insurance or vacation or sick days was a bonus. The work was the carrot. I expect for the movers and shakers that is considered to be stupid. Guilty as charged. Thank you for your reply m'dear! :)
