dev nunes is sweating bullets right now. There is a DEFINITE TRAIL of PHONE CALLS CONNECTING him with rudy and his pal Parnas. TRUTH ROCKS?

Depending on whom you are of course. Truth sucks for rudy g 4D and his cabal et al and the parnas and especially the ranking head (the very rank dumbhead) devin nunes. Corruption conspiracy collusion bribery extortion. Makes for a very good read as-is BUT you ain't seen nuthin' yet. Parnas is ticked off at 4D who sez he barely knows the guy so Parnas plans to testify and fully cooperate and fully present supporting evidence. Poor sadsack 4D doesn't realize not everyone will take his disloyalty lying down. More to come. Stay tuned. Don't go anywhere. Be there or be square! Roadkill is delicious. But I digress! :)

    Nunes is suing them for false reporting to the tune of $435M.

    While I am not familiar with the Nunes suit in detail, it is highly unlikely he will prevail.

    As I understand it, for a US public figure to win such a suit, he or she has to prove the defendant deliberately and maliciously published the false information. All CNN has to do is say "Well, that's what our sources told us" and Nunes pretty much as no case.

    Two other points...

    1) If these sorts of lawsuits were commonly winnable, I suspect Fox News would have been sued out of business years ago

    2) Nunes is also suing a fake cow, so perhaps his judgement with respect to winnable lawsuits is not the best.

    CNN placed specific dates and times and locations that are not possible and no attempt to verify was made by CNN before publishing. He has verifiable proof he was not and no where close at the time to what they claimed. Yes these cases are hard to win. But not impossible. 

    The case with Twitter is impossible to win. Because Congress gave Social media immunity from prosecution based on actions of users. Based on them only being a Publisher and not editor.  I believe that will be fixed in the future.

    You state that the case against Twitter is impossible to win because Congress immunized such platforms.

    Yet Nunes, a member of Congress, sued Twitter anyway.

    There are two likely explanations for the above...

    1) Nunes is incredibly dumb

    2) Nunes filed the "fake cow" suit as a bit of political grandstanding.

    Perhaps you should consider the above evidence when trying to infer if Nunes' suit against CNN has any merit.

    He filed it to make a point. That social media should not be protected because they are not acting a simple publishers. 

    CNN published False information and called it news.  This is something they have a long history of.....even if on video I do not trust them. I have seen their creative editing too much. They could tell me the weather was bright and sunny and would have to go outside myself to verify. That is how trustworthy they are.
