It's titled "THE EMPTY BOWLS" project.
Pottery shops open their shops on Tuesday nights for people to come in and create BOWLS. After they're done and fired in the kiln and ready for sale folks buy them for $15 each. Local restaurants sell soups or stews for $5 to put in the bowls and all that money is donated to FISH...FRIENDS IN SERVICE HELPING. They can be found at homeless shelters used in feeding those in need to attack the problem of hunger.
I think it is a very nifty idea. It brings the community together in a common goal..a worthy goal...an apolitical goal.,...a helpful goal...a selfless goal. A humane/caring goal.
Nice to know.
