I have a story to share with you Shuhak. My Jim is very nice guy. He got into a situation where an acquaintance who lives down the street would call and need a ride to a doctor appointment or the market or whatever. I'm not exactly sure how it began. So multiple times Jim chauffered him here and there. The last straw? Last Wednesday it was POURING DOWN IN BUCKETS of rain. The call comes. What does this guy need? A ride to a Pawn Shop. He sez he got an unexpected medical bill and so wanted to go to the pawn shop to pawn some things to pay the bill. I AM NOT JOKING. Jim said he'd have to check with me and see if I had made any plans. I heard the conversation. We couldn't believe it. Jim did not call back nor did he answer the phone when the called again the next day. It was maybe a dozen or more times Jim came to the rescue. NOT ONCE did this guy offer to chip in for gas. Jim would not have taken any money but it would have been nice for the guy to offer. Cheapskate deadbeat? Thoughtless selfish? I don't know but this is what happens to a very nice person like Jim who says "yes" to the wrong person. We think this guy used up all his other acquaintances. Too cheap to call a cab. Too dense to understand why Jim wasn't at his beck and call 24 hours a day for whatever dingbat reason. Jim gave him a bus schedule once so he could go places on his own. The guy didn't take it. Said he had never ridden a bus. He is in his 70's. Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday to ya! :)
