I had to dig, really deep, to come up with a reason.  You know how I love the sun and the island life.  But, since it was you asking, I found one.

Bugs.  Big bugs and small bugs.  Biting bugs and creepy bugs that come out at night.  The whole bug community can be a bit scary and worrisome.

I can easily get over this minor setback.  It is, however, a deterrent. This post was edited by Merlin at December 25, 2019 11:23 PM MST

I lived on a non-air-conditioned ship for 1-1/2 years in Guam so I got used to the heat and humidity. If I had to choose one thing though, it would be the mosquitoes.

    I totally agree!
It's like they get under your skin, and then, you fixate on them.  Pesky little things.
    ;) :)

Odd...where I live now I have only been bitten four times in 15 years. It must be the smell of alcohol.

I've never known a bug that doesn't  catch a buzz while bugging me!  They do the "Buzz Bug Dance," after a little nibble.
    I totally agree! :):)
