Is the steak you buy at the supermarket ALIVE? How about that stalk of celery?

Hello my:

Nahhh...  You can tell when the cells of a steak die by the SMELL..  When a stalk of celery dies it turns BROWN, LIMP, STINKY and NOT good to eat..

That is not always true. If you procure freshly harvested celery from the market and place that celery in water, it will root once more.
