If you could stay in one place for eternity where would it be? The most beautiful country according to you is?

For eternity?  I would have to choose the current leading edge of the universe.
So as the universe expands, everything would eventually go past me.

Could you help a gal out here please Walt? That is very esoteric but how would you survive? What's out there that would sustain life? Is there no country you've visited so beautiful that you could be happy there forever? I think you reply is VERY BRAVE. Like living on the edge/ledge of black hole. You don't know what it would take to survive but you'd be willing to gamble? I was thinking folks would answer "Italy" or "Spain" or "Monte Carlo". The leading edge of the universe? I guess you'd be surrounded by stars which are very sparkly. Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday! :)

I assume if I am surviving for eternity - then air, food, etc isn't an issue.
I have some sort of god-like or magic power to keep me alive for eternity.

I can't imagine any single location on Earth, that I would be willing to stay for eternity.
Even just a thousand years on Earth, I would be bored.  I would have seen everything to see.

So for eternity ... stuck in one place ... it would have to be where the scenery is constantly changing.
Thus, the leading edge of the universe.

I get it Walt! A Kaleidoscope. Constantly changing configurations and color combinations. What I think of is like being somewhere I could see the Aurora Borealis 24/7. But d'ya think after awhile it too would be boring? Or double rainbows? Or sunset/sunrise anywhere over an ocean? Or majestic mountains covered in snow at the top of the world? Thank you for the clarifications. I suppose one must needs be magical to survive for eternity. I hadn't thought about it in those terms. Perhaps we will just be electric energy? Thank you for your reply and Happy Saturday! :)

There is an episode of the TV Series "Angel' (a spinoff of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") where a character tries to freeze time so he can spend eternity in a moment of peak sexual passion with his girlfriend. Of course, freezing time doesn't just apply to them, but to the whole Universe, so Angel has to stop the guy from doing it.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Happy_Anniversary_(Angel)

After the Universe has been saved, one of the heroes explains to the time-stopping lovebird why his plan was foolish (besides ending the Universe)

Lorne: [about living] It just don't work, Gene-y. It's like a song. Now, I can hold a note for a long time. - Actually, I can hold a note forever. - But eventually, that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

So there is no one place I'd want to be forever. Eventually, it would go from being spectacular to being mundane to being no longer worthy of notice.

Heck, I can't even pick one side of the couch...
