Some folks are very generous giving gifts to others and very cheapskatey when buying for themselves. Others are opposites. WHY?

I left PA very early yesterday, hit no traffic on he way home, which is what I was hoping would be the case.  My sister and brother-in-law both had to work, so there was no point I staying.  We went to my niece's mother-in-law for Christmas dinner.  She made a filet mignon roast, baby carrots, roasted red potatoes, asparagus and a spring salad.  There was a fruit tart and chocolate cake with cream cheese icing and Limoncello for an after-dinner liqueur.  All in all, it was lovely gathering.  

Hope you and Jim had a good Christmas.  I recall you said it would be just the two of you.

I get behind a lot and sometimes I never catch up. My saddest memory of that was after an Answerbagger had passed away someone notified all her friends on AB. I went back over every response and answered all of hers posthumously. I hope wherever she was she knew and I apologized for the lousy timing. I still feel bad about it and I don't even remember her name. But I remember her fine replies and I guess that's a kind of immortality until I'm gone. Thank you for your reply my friend! :)
