The attacks on Jews most often occur against the Orthodox Jews who are very easily spotted. They are a very cloistered group, stay among their own, don't make an effort to be part of the rest of the community and most everyone knows they are likely to be non-violent. Much like any other bullying, they're easy targets for those who think they have some axe to grind and no one else on whom to take it out. They are also moving into areas, mostly in Brooklyn, that were traditionally minority enclaves. I suppose you might liken the situation to the Israelis and the Palestinians.
Oh my goodness L how sad is that? Oh my gosh! On our own soil the same devilish divide? I blamed Netanyahu for what he has put his people through as well as the Palestinians. A greater better kinder nicer person as Israel USED TO HAVE LONG AGO would have done so much better. Net is a gnat to be crushed and discarded for better. But also this is happening in the USA? Sheesh. Thank you for the first-hand view of a New Yorker. Sad.
