Did my girlfriend overreact?

I suggested to my girlfriend that when it's her time of the month we both be allowed to date other people for that week to ten days. She broke up with me. Did she overreact?

    to be fair I’m shocked you’ve managed to date a woman young enough to still menstruate. I wouldn’t push your luck
