What’s the longest amount of time a family member of yours broke off contact with all the rest of you? I’m not referring to someone who was

missing or lost or kidnapped or any other drastic reason, I’m referring to him or her being in perfect health and completely safe yet making the conscious decision not to stay connected with the rest of your family.

    Around 50 years. A sister. She took off for CA, ended up in Hawaii. I have talked to her once about five years ago. She disowned the family.
