Measured tempered reaction to Soleimani assassination? Slow and easy does it all the time?

    It is my expectation that things will calm down in the Iran-Iraq fiasco over time. They usually do.

    HOWEVER, people in general thought the assassination of the Archduke Ferdinand in Sarajevo wouldn't amount to much, and it ultimately led to the death of hundreds of millions of people (if you consider, as I do,  WWII a consequential outcome of WWI).

    So, these things are unpredictable. The usual channels for settling disputes and avoiding conflict work...until they don't. Then all bets are off.
