BRAVE NEW WORLD. Your gubment takes over OWNERSHIP of everything in your country including your business. What recourse would you have?

You would get a wage to run it but they would get all the profits.

You would have no recourse of course because the Justice System would also be owned by the gubment so there would be no one to whom you could go to complain.

What wouldja do? Roll over and take it? What COULD you do? After all the gubment has the muscle and power and a military force that would compel you to "play ball". Think it could not happen? Why?

    Well, it has happened! What you describe is basically how the Soviet Union worked.

    Do you have a particular country in mind or simply wondering how it can happen?

    The dumb don cabal et is on its way. Justice and Legislative branches are rigged. The madness is in every supporter of which or whom there are millions. His crackpot wackadoodle dog whistle obedient adoring worshippers are weaponized amd just await his cue.  Worldwide the extreme right-ring racist FASCISTS are gaining ground. What next in America? Well we will have to see how the Senate dog and pony moscow mitch that son of an itch show goes. We will have to see how THE SUPREMES react with a 5-4 edge in favor of the dumb don.     I see!

    I've always associated governments taking over industries with the Left: Communist at the extreme, or much milder, Britain's Labour Party who may be socialist but are democratic. 

    However I agree that the Far Right in many countries (except Communist states!) is increasing, and in Europe at least, largely on intensely nationalist principles.
