It is said that silence is golden. But can silence ever get you into a lot of trouble? As often as saying something? Is it just safer to stifle it than take a chance and blow it? Why?

I rather choose silence over misspokened words.

Silence can indicate that you don't know or you don't care. Words, however they come out, indicate that you care enough to speak up. Misspoken words can be corrected/explained. There is nothing you can do with silence. Thank you for your reply PeaPod! :)
