Ever say "holy Toledo"? Is it like saying "fer crying out loud" or "good grief"? Or something worser?

    I imagine I have since I live here. I believe it derives from the fact that we have so many churches here. Or not.

    There are ten churches within a ten minute drive from my house. I don't know about other neighborhoods.

    WOW! Now that is impressive. There are churches in Hemet but scattered about here and there. I don't how many there are within a 10-minute drive from our house but I'm pretty certain there aren't 10! Thank you for your reply E! :)

    I could make an argument that "Holy Toledo" is a substitute for the more crass "Holy S**t" because people equate Toledo with S**t.
    Sort of like how people constantly joke about how bad New Jersey is.
    LOL

    I may say "Holy Moley" because that's what all my aunts and uncles grew up saying.
    But I'm more likely to just say "Holy S**t".

    Though, now I'm wondering if I should say the "Holy" part - since I'm an atheist.  LOL

    I tend to gravitate to MOLEY rather than Toledo.
