There are methods and tools we use to measure things. We rely on them but WHAT IF they themselves are faulty inaccurate defective?

Odd you should ask. That was my first job in the Navy, calibrating electronic instruments for submarines and other vessels. Our instruments were ten times as accurate as the ones we were checking. All of them could be traced back to the National Bureau of Standards.
