No.  I thought she was trying to be edgy, using a variation of the word "eyelash"

Hippie Parents.  What can one do?  I named my daughter Willow way back when.  No one else had that name at the time.

Her name is Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell (I think)

  • Yes, I did know that. I have a Gaelic name too, so I've read a lot about them.

At least your name is both cool and easy to pronounce.  Most Gaelic names are very cool but no one can pronounce them.

  • Gaelic is a language I've always thought would be awesome to learn,
but not until I become more fluent in Klingon.

It is so hard to even learn what each word means.  You really have to search.

I studied WICCAN for a few years and I learned so much lore to do with the Celtic history and  Gaelic is unpronounceable.  GOD, to just find the correct pronunciation of a word takes forever looking it up.

I'm sure Elizabeth is exactly how you really pronounce Eilish.  That is how out there the pronunciations are.

  • OMG!  Goat is still trying to teach me how to drop my "Rs" to master a Boston accent.  I'd never survive Gaelic, but it is fascinating.  The history alone is magnificent.
