Does launching a missile put the launchers AT RISK? I don't mean from the target who launches back. I mean the launching itself. Does it?

    Well, the real hazard is the enemy. The missile operators are trained to do it properly, but warfare is a matter of killing others before they can kill you. As I once heard a British Army general admit on the radio, war is "cold-blooded murder".

    I think that's very true Durdle. Further I think any profession that authorizes one to kill legally is cold-blooded murder! All those unarmed young black men MURDERED by cops with guns authorized to "kill". The kind of personality that requires is not my cuppa tea. Thank you for your reply! :)

    That's a different matter,  but I agree with your sentiments about casual killing by Police officers.
